Posted onMy best friend Zaynah
Posted onEveryday,
you make me laugh.
If I’m in a bad mood,
you cheer me up.
When I’m mad at you,
you make me happy again.
It makes me feel,
good,
knowing I have a best friend.
You made me realize,
not to care,
what other people think.
Thanks to you,
I am who I am!
My Spring Break
Posted onDuring spring break I went on a mission trip with my church. We went to the third ward to help with the community. While we were there we painted houses, cleared out fields and talked to A few people that lived around there. Most people think that the third ward is a bad place, but it’s really not! After three days of hard work we went bowling with a group called the Forgotten Angels, which is almost like a daycare for people with disabilities. That is what I did during spring break.

Women’s Rights
Posted onI learned that between 1913 and 1917 women held rallies to protest war or to express solidarity with their sisters. In December 1977 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. What I got out of this is that if we didn’t have rights we wouldn’t be able to have a job therefor we wouldn’t be able to take care of our families because we wouldn’t have enough money.
