I learned that between 1913 and 1917 women held rallies to protest war or to express solidarity with their sisters. In December 1977 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. What I got out of this is that if we didn’t have rights we wouldn’t be able to have a job therefor we wouldn’t be able to  take care of our families because we wouldn’t have enough money.
